The Asics needle spike is a very suitable spike for use on Rekortan surfaces & grass surfaces, however is generally not permitted on Mondo surfaces. 9mm spikes are permitted by the IAAF in all events, however, are not necessarily allowed at all stadiums who may have greater restrictions on spikes longer than 7mm. 9mm spikes are generally used more frequently by High Jumpers & Javelin Throwers especially in the Needle shape.
