The supplier is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization and operates a wonderful facility in Addis Ababa where spinners and weavers are employed in a safe, supportive and comfortable environment. Cotton is sourced from smallholders around Ethiopia. Some cured patients from the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital are now earning an income by spinning cotton for this supplier. Orders from the Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation mean that funds are able to provide full time employment for local people as weavers and spinners. And we are privileged to be able to use these hand crafted, eco-friendly towels for the beach, as table covers, wraps and more. Love, Minnie and the birdsnest girls x
