The adapter provides a magnetic base for attaching the gels and stretches over standard and round head flash heads to secure them. The gels have magnets integrated into them and can be mounted and switched out rapidly. A separate gel holder system is not required with the MagMod system.
To change the color temperature, hue, or density of your flash, you can attach one gel or stack several gels at once. Included are 3-stop ND gels, 1/2 Plus Green, 1/4 CTO, 1/2 CTB, and Full CTO gels. They are nearly unbreakable and made of strong, rigid polycarbonate. They are unaffected by bending, dropping, or flexing. The gel name or label is permanently imprinted in each gel to ensure its identification. The gels can also be combined with extra MagMod 2 modifiers to further customize your flash setup.
