The Rode VXLR Pro 3.5mm to XLR Adaptor is a 3.5mm female TRS mini-jack to male XLR adaptor for connecting RØDE on-camera microphones such as the VideoMic NTG to devices with an XLR input.
This XLR adapter features a transformer to balance the signal, making the VXLR Pro ideal when using long cable runs. It also converts 12-48V phantom power to 4V plug-in power, allowing microphones like the VideoMicro and VideoMic GO to receive power from XLR devices, and features a locking connector for added security.
Note: Product is shown in use for illustration only, additional equipment is not included.
If you commonly use 3.5mm TRS terminated microphones the VXLR Pro will save the day when you need to connect to recording equipment using XLR connectors. Don't run long cable runs on 3.5mm cables with risk of interference, use a transformer-balanced XLR adaptor to run a balanced signal that compensates - keeping your audio crystal clear. There is also no need to worry about 12-48V phantom power frying your beloved 3.5mm microphone, as the Rode VXLR Pro converts down to 4V for devices meant for plug-in power.
